Improving health and losing weight with Food and Water fasting

Hi everyone, I can't believe how quickly this past week has gone! I've been busy creating client guides, food and drink lists, and designing a strength workout for clients who are at risk of developing osteoporosis. Those are all included in my Course, Healing for Women 45+, together with lots of other tools to help my clients achieve their health and weight goals.


Healing for women 45+ is by far my most popular course, close second would be the 6 weeks of fasting therapy. They are both similar but Healing for Women is a couple of weeks shorter and the intermittent fasting hours are adjusted to the female cycle and hormones.


Fasting has so many incredible health benefits. To me, it was like taking a magic pill. Ok, it took a couple of weeks before I could really start feeling the difference. I had done IF before but never really changed my diet. The result in the past would have been a few kg in weight loss but nothing more. This time in 6 weeks I detoxed and the puffiness just vanished, my IBS symptoms disappeared, and I lost weight and about 10 cm off my waist. My client with the best result lost 14 cm from her waist in only 6 weeks. Amazing! She could not believe it. But for me, the true miracle was the change in moods. I just started feeling so annoyingly energetic, happy and content all the time.

But to be honest I would say that 9 out of 10 of my clients join because they want to lose weight. Which of course also is good for your health if you are overweight. I saw a program on telly last night Michael Mosley: Secret of your big shop, and they mentioned that 2 out of 3 adults in the UK are overweight. That’s a lot of people. What happened? And why they choose to take meds like Ozempic or Metformin just so that they can continue eating the crap that made them ill in the first place is beyond me. Why not stop eating sugar, refined carbs, ultra-processed food, and unhealthy vegetable oils combined with Intermittent fasting and you will more than likely reverse the metabolic disease you have and be as slim as you were in your 20s.


A lot of people, including my friends and family, would say stuff like “I don’t know how you do it? I couldn’t go without food for 16h” or “If I don’t have breakfast I can't work” or “If I don’t eat I will faint”. I usually reply of course you can. EVERYONE can food-fast or water fast for 12-14h. I teach you how to water fast safely. For example you decide to do a marathon, you won't just sign up and run a full marathon. No, you will start preparing and training for x amount of months before you do your first marathon. The same with water fasting.


We start slow and increase the hours and before you know it you made it through 24h without eating (well that would be the fourth week into the program). Not only will you feel absolutely amazing for doing something you 4 weeks earlier thought was impossible, but you will have promoted fat burn (most people lose 1-1.5 kg during a 24h fast), brain health, gut health and you will have reduced inflammation and the risk of heart disease.


It's also really important to eat healthy, nutrient-dense food like healthy fats, organic grass-fed meat, wild-caught fish and lots of low-starch vegetables. With the right food combined with safe water fasting anything is possible, You will be healthier, more energetic and you will probably look 10 years younger. Another aspect is cost. In the long run, you will save money by taking food breaks (water doesn’t cost much) and by not eating processed junk, being sick or paying medical bills and medication. You will have to get your money out though to buy a new wardrobe when your old clothes are getting way too big for you, but that is a cost I take any day.
